Alves Tavares (University of Florida) develops the approximate solution of differential equations that can be expanded on a basis of polynomials, where all derivatives up to a predefined order can be specified at the boundaries. The book also defines an ordering relation for the constrained numbers and provides algorithms to expand the derivative of the product of functions of several variables. The closing application section solves several linear and nonlinear differential equations and analyzes the distribution of heat along the lower line of the space shuttle during reentry.
