The meeting on Iterative Solution of Nonlinear Systems of Equations, held in the Mathematisches Forschungsinstitut Oberwolfach, Federal Republic of Germany, during the six days of January 31st to February 5th 1982, was attented by forty one mathematicians and engineers from several countries. In all twenty four lectures were given, thirteen of which are presented in these proceedings.
