After a review of the current-mode approach and a brief history of first- and second-generation current conveyors, this book considers the second-generation current conveyor (CCII) as a building block in active feedback devices and in the implementation of simple analog functions. The design and characteristics of CCII topologies are described, and low-voltage, low-power CCII implementations are detailed. The CCII evolution towards differential and generalized topologies is examined, and CCII applications are described. The book is useful as a reference for current-mode and CCII analog integrated circuit designers and can be used as a text for advanced courses on microelectronics.
