Counting calories is hard for anyone, even more so if you cook. This is a great little book and very handy to have in the kitchen or in your purse (who's purse does this book fit into anyways? Not mine. I shoved it in my daughter's diaper bag)It has all the information you could possible need if you plan on cooking from scratch, just expect your cooking time to be about twice as long seeing as you'd have to thumb through the book for every ingredients then calculate and add it all up. I don't keep most of my food items in the original box (sugar, pasta, rice, bread crumbs and the like) so I don't have the box to be able to look at the nutritional box. Hence my purchasing this book.
I think it could have a little simpler layout. For example, McDonald's has its own section, Krispy Kreme on the other hand is under the general doughnut category. I would like a book that was a little more consistent with its layout. If one chain has its own category, give all chains their own, or none at all and but it all under general terms.
So the layout and the size are my only problems with it. But you couldn't possible get it any smaller if you wanted all the information it has in it. So, all and all, it was a great purchase and hopefully it will help me loose the weight I want to lose a little quicker and without as much stress or *gasp* diet food.
