I thought it would be useful to be able to mark and annotate a Russian grammar book using Kindle, to aid learning. However, instead of using Unicode with proper Cyrillic fonts, all the Russian words are presented as graphics. This has two results:
Firstly, it is not possible to resize the Cyrillic, which remains the same size no matter what size the English font is set too. For me, the Cyrillic is too small and difficult to read on-screen. If the English is set to a bigger, readable font size then the Cyrillic remains the same small size and the two do not line up properly.
Secondly, being graphics, it is not possible to select the Cyrillic for marking and annotation.
This complaint relates to the Kindle presentation of the book. It would be better to buy the book in hard copy, in my opinion.
